We are seeking an experienced Oncology Day Unit Nurse to join our client at a leading healthcare facility in Dublin. As an Oncology Day Unit Nurse, you will provide expert nursing care to patients undergoing treatment for cancer in a compassionate and supportive environment.

As a member of the oncology team, you will work with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional care to patients..

Nursing Duties

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing cancer treatment in a day unit setting
• Administer chemotherapy and other treatments as ordered by physicians
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and respond to any changes in their condition
• Assess and manage patients’ symptoms and side effects of treatment
• Educate patients and their families on the disease process, treatment options, and self-care strategies
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure the delivery of safe and effective care

Essential Criteria

• Be registered in the general division of the Register of Nurses maintained by NMBI
• Have at least two years recent relevant post-registration nursing experience.
