Staff Nurse – Acquired Brain Injury

Our client is a Acquired Brain Injury Unit who are looking for a Staff Nurse to join them on a full time perm basis. This is a brand new and modern facility which is the only one of its kind based in the West of Ireland. This role would suits a Nurse who is looking to make a change but still continue working in a clinical Setting. Situated in Galway with Direct access to the Motorway this is an Ideal location for anyone who wishes to commute.
Job Description
- Managing residents and maintaining care standards with a professional demeanour.
- Updating resident care plans and documenting information in line with company and legislative policy.
- Practising safe medication management.
- Working as a proactive and committed member of the overall nursing team by communicating effectively and taking ownership of floor responsibilities alongside the healthcare assistants.
- Act as a link between the healthcare assistants on duty and the CNM in charge.
- Following and working to HIQA and company policies regarding health and safety and quality.
- Complying with GDPR regulations during daily activities and managing the preservation of resident confidentiality and privacy.
Job Requirements:
- NMBI registered and a qualification in General Nursing.
- Previous experience in dealing with vulnerable patients.
- Previous experience in documentation control and leadership is considered an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills and highly motivated.
